These charts show yearly drug sales in ISK millions per 1,000 inhabitants and consumption in Defined Daily Dose (DDD) per 1,000 inhabitants between 1989 – 2008.

Chart 1: Drug sales in ISK millions per 1,000 inhabitants with change rate between years, 5 years and 10 years.

Chart 2: Top 5 highest selling drugs.

Chart 3: Share of the top 5 highest selling drugs of drug sales total 10 years before latest update.

Chart 4: Share of the top 5 highest selling drugs of drug sales total based on latest update.

Chart 5: Drug consumption in DDD per 1,000 inhabitants of the top 5 highest selling drugs.

Chart 6: Yearly change in consumption of the top 5 highest selling drugs.

Chart 7: 10-year change in consumption of the top 5 highest selling drugs 10 years before latest update.

Chart 8: 10-year change in consumption of the top 5 highest selling drugs based on latest update.

These charts show yearly contact with specialists between 1991 – 2008. Note that Cardiologist do not have a contract with State Social Security Institute 1 April 2006-May 2008.
